Melanie Delaney
Melanie Delaney’s diverse background includes over eight years in the hotel industry, specifically in sales and conference services, five of which were spent at The Registry Resort, now known as The Naples Grande. Melanie has an understanding of all that goes into the planning and execution of both small and very large group events, as she spent over seven years as corporate meeting planner for Abbey Carpet, and two of its’ sister companies. During her tenure with Abbey Carpet, Melanie put together dynamic conventions for 2,500+ attendees at various locations across the United States, encompassing every detail from travel arrangements and manifests to catering, general sessions, break-out sessions, and special themed parties both on and offsite.
Melanie’s experience includes over six years as Director of The Renaissance Center Club at Palmira Golf and Country Club. In her role at RCC, Melanie was responsible for the day to day operation of the club and staff, planning activities for the membership, and planning parties throughout the year, from conception to execution. Under Melanie’s direction, interest in attendance at club events grew from minimal to typically sold out.
As current President of The Professional Activity Directors Association (PADA), Melanie leads an organization of over seventy Southwest Florida private clubs and event planners in constantly developing new ideas and entertainment resources, ranging from classic entertainment to fresh and exciting concepts.
